I did get this. But in most hearse conversions the rear doors have been retained. The body is pretty identical to a normal ‘64 wagon but with less doors so they haven’t been removed during extensive modifications.
Maybe some tax or importation regulation related thing? In my country hearses have tax discounts.

no extra discounts for hearses , all the hearses here in Australia tend to be like that with no rear doors.
