Took the family to see the Mythbusters live show this evening at the Fox Theater here in Atlanta. It was an entertaining show with some fun demos and a good QA. Would recommend it. My 5 year old daughter, who hadn’t seen much of the TV show, loved It so much that she was begging to see them again.

Those were good. I remember my dad taking me to one at some point when they were in town.

They are coming to my area, sadly I’m flying out-of-town earlier in the day from an airport ~1 mile from the theater they’re performing at. I was excited then bummed all in the span of a single television commercial.
How was the show? It sounds like a lot of fun.

I didn’t even know they were touring last year until after my friends and I bought Alton Brown tickets for his show last year. So far there aren’t too many shows in my neck of the woods for me to check them out.
PS, the Alton Brown show was awesome on it’s own and well worth the ticket price. I would check out his show for this year also but again, the tour isn’t really showing up around here.

It was good. Some reasonable demos, good audience interaction and lots of humor. My wife and I enjoyed it and our kids loved it.

I've been meaning to catch Alton. We are in Atlanta, so this is his hometown. I imagine the shows are good.

For the last tour he used fire extinguishers to make ice cream, sung a country ballad about a shrimp cocktail that he ate and made him sick, and showed off a man sized easy bake oven that used spotlights to make pizza. I think shows start next year in April if you are interested.

Did anyone ask why the show's being cancelled (allegedly)?

That was a great perk of living in Midtown: randomly seeing Alton walking around. Or Andre 3000.

It’s not allegedly, they have finished shooting the last episode. Adam did a lot of posting on Facebook documenting all of the different last they had that day and his newly empty office.
As for why, I’m guessing it is the normal reason, it cost more money to produce than ad revenue it brought in.

If you’re Captain America, I’m Iron Man!

Check out his Untitled Podcast. He goes into it there. They have been talking to Discovery about it for a couple of years. Ratings have dipped and the format has gotten a bit stale. I think what is unsaid was that Jamie is looking to move on as well. You can see hints of that in some of the interviews.
