...but when you take it so far that you can’t drive the car into a gently sloped driveway, I will laugh at you. The end is the best.

Seriously though, air bags, most of these cars should have them. You get the looks and keep the ability to drive the car.

Its all about that static life, bro.

Im static, but at least I dont scrape like that. It actually takes a pretty steep driveway to make me scrape.

That's what I thought but then how do you scrape if you're standing still?

Static in stance lingo means non adjustable suspension or adjustable coilovers.

One of the many cons of lowering a car to those extremes.

Another downside is that your turn signals will not work anymore. Also your radio will be stuck on repeat of one song forever.

At least thats my experience around here.

I’m a fan of stance, but if I were to do it to my car, I would install this...

Non-adjustable.

That’s the thing... lowering a car is okay to a point, but to the extreme that these guys take it they shouldn’t be driven on the street anymore. When you become a traffic hazard just for driving your car, there is a serious problem. I can’t wait for this trend to die off.

What is the stance showing us? That you can make your car really really low? Okay, but why? Because it handles better? Race cars get really low to enhance the vacuum/suction underneath the car for very high speed grip. But is anyone fooled into thinking you have a 150+ MPH race car? Apparently some are. But those stretched tires tell me otherwise... And there’s a reason race cars aren’t driven on the street...

Meaning lowering springs or coilovers, not airbags or hydraulics.

Why does static command more respect among the stance community? Is it considered more “hardcore”? Is being able to raise your car for curbs etc. considered a cop-out? Bags is the only way I could imagine having a stanced car.

All extreme stance cars should never move, so this sounds great to me.

vs bags that allow you to change ride height while driving.

It certainly doesn’t really demand more respect, but it’s more of a “commitment” to all of the scraping and body damage. Almost like, “IDAF” because look what I did that you wont do.

Respect is not the right word, though I’m not really sure what is...
