Nice, I’ll keep my eye out!

It’s on a Silver 07 Mercury Milan FYI

Nice, back of an old Cherokee for me. Or in the summer just look for a red Magnum SRT8, I keep the stickers off of that though.

Red Magnum SRT8 is 1 not hard to miss and 2 awesome.
Oh and I could tell is was an XJ from the shot above haha. I’ll probably own one at some point to turn it into a trail vehicle.

Two true facts right there.
Yea, its the winter beater. Took it to Bundy Hill last weekend and had a blast.

I’ve wanted to take the Commander out for some light off roading. Everything is an hour + from me though. I suppose that’s probably the closest though (We’re in Canton).

That’s our Commander. 2 inch lift with some solid A/T’s. We’d probably have to stick to the Green Trails there, I don’t know that it would do well on the Blue’s. How modified is the XJ? What trails do you do?

I’m in Troy, so I know that feel. Bundy was 2 hours.
Nice Commander, you might want to stick to the Green stuff. We went on Blue, Mild to Wild was the trail name.
XJ has as 3” lift on 31” Duratracs, 5 speed. Did well, though I should have tried 4 lo, because 4 HI was too fast even in 1st gear. Overall, very good.

Yeah we’d stick Green then. 2 inch lift 31.8” Cooper Discoverer A/T3’s.
the big problem is we have the V6 with the low level “4x4” which is full time non-selectable. So we can’t even lock in Low. Maybe we should get a Metro Detroit OPPO mild wheeling day on the Green trails. Probably in the spring at this point though.

Yea that would be fun!
Bundy is closed for the winter now, except for a few random days. I have a group that might be going to the Mounds, or they have gone to Birch Run a few times as well.

Nice, as long as we kept to the “easy” trails we’d ride right through I’m sure. Would be great as a first timer to go in a group.

Yea you’d be fine. Hell, another group of friends that was there Saturday was well had a WK2 with them and a Liberty. Just stick to the easier stuff and you can have a blast.

My question is, is it worth going out just for the easy trails. Am I going to zip through them in 20 minutes and drive an hour back home?

Good question really, not sure. There are some hill climbs you could have fun with, as well as mud/flat areas. We didn’t explore as much of Bundy as I would have liked.

Hmm. Where else around here have you been off-road wise?

Been up to the Mounds in my friends Jeep a few years back. That was fun. I’m still patiently waiting for the park in Holly to be ready.

Which do you think would have more to explore in a barely more than stock vehicle Bundy or Mounds?
![]() 11/18/2015 at 12:18 |

Hmm tough choice. I think Bundy is larger, but they have a lot of trails back in the woods that are blue. Mounds has a few nice open areas to play around in, but doesn’t have the hill climbs you could do. I wish I explored more of Bundy, but both are fun.

Cool. We’ll just have to get a group together in the spring and find out!
