Update: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! It seems like it along with Flight: The Five Ages of Aviation have been out of print for a looong while but neither book seems to have appreciated at all. I read it now decades ago and it was about a guy flying all sorts of aircraft, from ultralights to F-16s, and writing about his experiences. The unique thing about all this is that it’s one person actually flying all of these aircraft. It was a pretty influential book for me but I can’t remember what the book was even damn titled. It’d be a great Secret Senna gift!
Speaking of which if you can track down !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! by John Blake, it’s a really gorgeous book. Although the text itself is very light and dry for either an aviation buff or someone just wanted to appreciate a pretty narrative, the illustrations and paintings more than make up for it.
