Well today was a great day but also the start of a long wait.
Put in the order for a new build, a Skoda Superb hatchback 1.4TSi ACT, SE L Executive in Petrol Blue Metallic, with beige leather interior for a few thousand pounds taken off the price (list price for this car is GBP£24,220/USD$36,726). Delivery is wanted for 1st March 2016 but looks like it’ll be mid-February 2016.
The car below is similar in that it’s the same colour and interior however we’ve opted for different 18” wheels from those shown and the steering wheel is on the correct side.
Just need to get the accessories order from the SuperSkoda in the Czech Republic (much larger range of accessories, some they design and make themselves and cheaper than buying in the U.K.).
Such as mats, flip boot mat, tunnel mat and may also treat myself to some new luggage and some towels.

I dig it. It’s only three months. How bad could the wait be?

Nice!!! I love all those OEM accessories.
I am enjoying the 1.4 TSI very much, a lot punchier than numbers suggest.

When you tell people it’s a 1.4 they look at you like ‘well that’s going to be a slug to drive’, but it really isn’t. It’s not super powerful, but more than what’s needed and always ready to go.

AN ETTERNITY!

It was a risk. I was going to go for neutral and stay with silver metallic but I really like the colour.

The seats in the Superb are super comfy already but these should be great.

Silver is boring. You made the right choice.

My current Superb is silver. Lol. Brilliant Silver Metallic.
She looks great when clean (which is 98% of the time, I keep on top of it always, even washed her again before going to the dealership in the rain yesterday), and doesn’t show the dirt much when dirty but is a safe colour.

Totally true. I’ve impressed people with the midrange punch.
Then I calm down, and boom, 40mpg.

I don’t have a Skoda though, a mk7 Golf.

Doh! Sorry, I assumed you had a Skoda.
Isn’t yours the 1.4TSi ACT. I believe the Mk7 Golf got it before the rest of the stable mates got it.

Your pictures confirm it: silver is boring! LOL
Silver (or more specifically the metallic gray) is ok on a Ferrari, but that’s about it.

It’s boring to work on in that it always looks clean but clean in the sun it looks great but it could never look as good as the petrol blue metallic of the new car.
