I believe the answer is no. If you have evidence to the contrary please post in the comments.

I enjoyed There will Be Blood a lot! Zhang Yimou’s Ying Xiong (“ Hero” , 2002) is also one of my favorite spectacles.

I’ve not seen that one, want to see it some day though. It made Cinefix’s top ten most beautiful movies ever list.

The first time I saw it was on an old B&W TV when my color set broke down. HUGE MISTAKE. Without spoiling anything, let me just say that the use of color happens to be important to the plot.

I had the VHS of that growing up, and watched it countless times. Its criminal I haven't seen it in almost 20 years.

That was a gorgeous movie. Great use of colors

Beavis and Butthead is not a visually impressive movie. I can see how you may confuse it with the visual tour de force that is Idiocracy.

Find somewhere showing it in 70mm.
Unbelievably gorgeous. Still haven’t seen anything comparable.

I’m really not a fan of Superman at all, and I never really have been. That said, Man of Steel had some of the most stunning and beautiful cinematography I have seen in a long time. It was so well edited and beautifully done. I couldn’t be bothered with the story line, but there are certain scenes I could watch on repeat all day. Take the audio away even, it’s just amazing to see.

I can’t find anything in 70mm. I’m gonna have to drive to Indianapolis just to see Star Wars in 70mm if I feel especially motivated to do so (Depending on the screening locations for Hateful Eight in 70mm I may just drive three hours and make a day of it.)

Saw it in a local theater a while ago, and damn, small screens just don’t do it justice. There’s a reason Chris Nolan insisted on shooting Interstellar on 70mm, which is also a stunning film, especially on a full size IMAX screen.

A few visually stunning movies come to my mind - Apocalypto, Skyfall, and maybe my favorite film of all time - Road to Perdition.

Have you seen Sicario yet?
It’s excellent and the cinematography was done by Roger Deakins (Skyfall, Fargo, No Country for Old Men.)

LOL Idiocracy was bonkers fun :]

I downloaded this movie because I heard some good things about it and has Jet Li in it. I didn’t realize it was so well renowned for its cinematic visuals.
I’ll have to bump this movie up my “to watch” list.

Oh man, I had no idea the guy who did the cinematography for No Country for Old men was involved in Sicario.
That movie already looked great to me, but now I want to see it even more.

Finding it pretty hard to argue with that, without going a little out of the box... So I nominate The Art of Flight.
Take world class athletes and cinematographers to beautiful place and amazing shit happens.

I had no idea what the hell was going on in this movie and the Paul dank character was odd but I still like it really beautiful as u say

I made sure to see it in theaters and I’m glad I did.

Went in totally the opposite direction but definitely beautiful.

I haven’t, but it’s on the short list of recent movies I’d like to see.

The sequel “The Blood Has Dried” was better

1) Sunshine
2) Dead Man
3) The Cell

House of Flying Daggers
The Conformist

Sunshine is in my top ten for greatest films ever. Killer soundtrack, absolutely beautiful, and that story kept me hooked from start to finish.

The answer is Tron: Legacy.

I really need to see this movie. I would nominate Lawrence of Arabia, Blade Runner and Tree of Life.
![]() 11/11/2015 at 15:48 |
|
Is that a still or concept art? Looks more like concept art.
![]() 11/11/2015 at 15:49 |

I need to see all these. I’m about an hour into Lawrence and stopped watching it with the intention to finish it later but just haven’t gotten back to it.

Concept art. Yep, I was somehow too lazy to take an actual still. :D
Still a beautiful neon filled landscape. :D

Lawrence isn’t exactly the most riveting movie. Interesting and beautiful, however. Tree of Life is like Saving Private Ryan for me. Amazing on every level, but they left me in such ruin I don’t think I’ll ever watch either again. Blade Runner(the Final Cut at least) is my favorite movie.
Another one to add. The Fall.
![]() 11/12/2015 at 07:03 |
|
I wanted to see The Fall for a long time because Lee Pace but I also found out it was another one on Cinefix’s top ten most beautiful movies ever.
![]() 11/12/2015 at 11:15 |

It’s fantastic, and Pace is great in it.
Kind of surprised with that list. I usually don’t have/agree with a large portion of a top 10’s list. 7 out of 10 ain’t bad.

Cinefix top ten list are basically watchmojo but not complete bullshit.
