It is difficult to look past the vertical filming, but it’s still a good laugh

Very low-res. Too low-res for me to continue.

“...ya fuckin’ idiot!”
My sentiments exactly.
I hear the driver saying “he’s trying to push them off the road” when the Civic was still following behind - it didn’t look like there was any contact, just really dangerous tailgating.
That said, the car in front should have moved over into the right lane after overtaking the gray Elantra. Obviously, this is not justifying the Civic’s behavior, but that a bit of road manners can go a long way on the highway. Left lane hogs tick me off, too (but I don't try to endanger people's lives for it).

Agreed, flashing of brights works just fine for me.

Exactly.
Both made bad decisions here, but the Civic driver 100% caused its own crash.

Yep, that’s all you need to do and most reasonable people will get the picture. I'm sure most of us on Oppo do our mirror checks and get out the way - I do cruise in the left lane for long stretches at times, but if someone's coming up on my quickly I get out of the way at the first possible opportunity.

I do shit like that when there’s someone camped out in the left lane - pass them on the right and whip in front to try and get them to take the hint.

I get up underneath them, get em loose, and put em into the wall. Because NASCAR!!

That’s not how you do a pit maneuver, silly.

I have ridden on the rumble strips and the noise usually gets their attention and some move over. Others I just pass on right when I get a chance.
The bitch of it is work trucks are governed at 75 mph

Exactly, all the Civic needed to do here was pass on the right (not ideal, but unavoidable in a case like this) and then move on with his day.
It’s incredible, though, that people don’t understand drive in right lane, pass on the left. If there’s three or more lanes, use one of the middle ones when coming up to a merge/exit point to let others in/out. It’s incredibly simple to do and also just plain courteous to those around us.

Am I the only one upset that he didn't take out the lane hog in the process?

Hogging a lane does not allow damage to ones vehicle. Especially since we don’t know what the speed limit is in the video. He could be doing 10 under, 10 over the limit.

The Uniform Vehicle Code’s left lane law states that a car driving below the “normal speed of traffic” should be driven in the right-hand lane. Because it indicates “normal speed” instead of saying “speed limit” a driver going above the speed limit, but slower than most traffic, is still in the wrong.
The most frustrating thing about this video is that the lane hog is still driving, still hogging, and still creating more road rage. He/she deserves either an accident or a police traffic stop to get them off the road.

You can’t be serious, can you? First off, you don’t know how fast they are going, second off you don’t know what the speed limit is. For all you know that lane hog is doing 60 in a 40.
To say the lane hog is creating road rage is BS. Unless that lane hog is constantly brake checking, which they are not, wait and pass them. Yeah I get annoyed when people don’t get over due to their slower speed than what I want to travel, but to say they deserve an accident is ridiculous.

Did you even read the part about the Uniform Highway Code? It doesn’t matter what the speed limit is. If there is faster traffic, get the fuck out of the passing lane. The code was written to curcumvent the speed limit specifically to improve traffic flow and reduce road rage incidents.
“To say the lane hog is creating road rage is BS. Unless that lane hog is constantly brake checking...”
Are you serious? Watch the video again; the hog wasn’t brake checking and yet caused the Honda driver to start raging/tailgating/swerving. In what possible world is that not considered road rage?
Lane hogging ABSOLUTELY causes road rage. Most people control their emotions, but many start driving aggressively which puts others in danger. And it’s all the fault of the one oblivious/selfish asshole who refused to pull over.
Get the lane hog off the road (or at least into the right-hand lane), and you curb road rage, reduce the number of aggressive drivers, and improve traffic flow.
And, yes, I do silently wish that a meteorite would strike lane hogs. Or at the very least that someone braver/dumber than myself will pull a gun on them one day and forever scare them out of the passing lane.

You can’t force someone to have road rage, that’s just dumb to think that.
You want to get the lane hog off the road, honk your horn, flash your brights. Based on your comments I can only assume you’re a bro truck driver who enjoys using their coal roller as a weapon to swerve at people. Swerve at me, like that, chances are I will fear for my life and I’ll be the one who pulls out his S&W to defend himself

The argument that road rage is caused by lack of self control is a moot point. People don’t always control their emotions. That’s why we have police to protect us. That’s why you own a gun to protect yourself.
Targeting the raging drivers is akin to bailing out a sinking ship. Ticketing a rager stops one car, meanwhile the lane hog has produced 5 more ragers. The far more effective solution is to plug the leak, aka give cops the power necessary to ticket the lane hogs who instigate the road rage.
And in my experience, honking/flashing a lane hog never works. It only serves to irritate them, and then they’ll never move over out of spite. (If you’re European, I could understand why flashing would be a viable solution).
I typically race up to their rear bumper, brake hard, then retreat to a generous following distance and follow at their pace. Usually the fast-approaching car in their mirrors wakes them up, and they move over. If not, I wait for the next opportunity and undertake them and continue on my way.
I used to cut them off and brake check, but realized that I’m only delaying my journey more by doing so and getting myself more worked up.
Hence why I now just undertake and pray to the Karma Gods to ruin their day.

Get an LED light bar, I have one behind my truck grille, 20” KC HiLites. If people are road raging I turn it on and it’ll blind them. Primary use is all the back country roads around me, helps spot deer easier
