Like a sunroof without the weight and complexity. Probably quite expensive to replace.

The rollover crash rating is probably horrid.

If the B pillar is big enough, it could form basically a giant rollover loop. But yeah, probably not great.

I’d rather have the regular panoramic sunroof that was only available on the 4-door.

Curved glass is insanely expensive, and also your sun visors wouldn’t block the sun at all.

Oh right I was originally going to comment how impressed I would be if anyone could roll this baby over. Considering it was most likely powered by a 1.8L engine making 138hp. Although I read that the Europeans also got a more powerful turbo engine.

Sun in my eyes is why I don’t like convertibles or sunroofs. I’m sure there has to be some sort of visor arrangement with this window, probably a roll-out screen of sorts.

I’ve driven a Citroen with the same arrangement. You get sliding sun visors which can be pulled out to where they would be with a normal windscreen and then they can be folded down as usual.

They do. I’ve driven a Citroen Picasso with exactly the same arrangement.

Around £750-1200 depending on the car model. Apparently some insurers won’t cover it as part of the windscreen cover either!
