I’ve been throwing around the idea of removing the “Accord V6” badges and plastidip-ing the Honda badge.
I don’t know why I’m so hesitant. Probably because I’ve never had a lot of luck doing these kinds of things.
Here’s a quick photoshop.
EDIT: This is what it might look like if I don’t remove the badges and I just plastidip all of them.

Looks naked.
DO take the Honda licence plate frame off though.

do it. We can be twins

No to the plasti dip, yes to the badge removal.

do it! the H badge usually has two holes behind it, so best to keep it. remove the others with fishing line or floss, and a little goo gone.

Do the whole car.

Plastidip on a normal car looks horrible IMHO.

Full debadge and add a spoiler

Spoilers look terrible on my car.

You wish your car was blue

I’ll be honest, it looks really good in Cool Blue Metallic.
(This is the facelifted version, but it also looks good on the pre-facelift model, I just can’t find a picture).

Needs more bedazzle

I’ve never been a fan of debadging personally because I think it looks like it was wrecked and repaired with non oem parts.
But hey if you like it...
I would just dip all the badges black

Do it! Make it a sleeper ;)

Looks kind of weird, no offense. Keep the badges, and maybe paint the frame; it looks faded.

Go for it. It is a Honda badge and easily replaceable.

I don’t like how debadged cars look, so no.

Fah!

I have one that says “I’m not driving fast, just flying low,” but the cops would think I’m a street racer.

My attempt at sarcasm, whit, and irony.

Remove badges, no plastidip. That’s my honest opinion. I think black plastidip on a silver car looks tacky.

Dude, still rocking the dealer plate frame? Dip that first
![]() 11/10/2015 at 18:08 |
|
That’s the only frame I have that doesn’t have a tacky saying. I’d probably dip one of the other frames.

I like it sans Accord badge.
![]() 11/10/2015 at 18:18 |

I feel that removing the badges makes it look like it has been on a crash.

That picture pretty much proves you wrong.

Plastidip is for the bored.

Good point.

That should be illegal.

take all the badges off. DEBADGE EVERYTHING!!!

Nah

Screw them badges and do THIS everywhere.
You know you have to.
As a Honda owner.
You must.
You can’t truly own a Honda without doing it.
Honda Rousey.

Ha. No.
![]() 11/10/2015 at 19:21 |

You are a disgrace to Honda owners.

May I ask, what is your motivation for doing this? What does it achieve that appeals to you?
![]() 11/10/2015 at 23:03 |

Aesthetics.

I figured. I was just trying to get an idea of the look you’re going for. Anyway, from my experience with plastidip I wouldn’t recommend it. It likes to peel away from any edges too easily, and it’s downhill from there. Better go with a matte spray paint, maybe remove the emblem and then reinstall afterward. I wouldn’t discard the other badges but rather paint them to match. That way you have something that looks cohesive like it could have been factory installed but is something no one could ever get from the factory. Unique but not home made would be the look I would go for.

That’s really good advice. I’ll take it into consideration.
