Okay so it’s turbo Tuesday.
The last two and a half years with my baby girl have been a blast.
She’s a big girl really but she handles and behaves like a much smaller car thanks in part to her small but, I won’t say powerful, but way more than adequate 1.4TSi engine.
But onwards and upwards, the new 1.4TSi ACT in the new car is more economical and powerful than the old.
A bit more electrics to be nervous of but still, looks good.
Turbos really are making a surge back with modern day engines and that can only be good all round.

The current is 125ps from the 1.4TSi but the new girl will be 150ps from a 1.4TSi ACT (the 125ps 1.4TSi is still available for the new model but only in base ‘S’ spec, no I can’t figure out why either, why put the old engine in the new car and engineer a new version of the same engine but better also).

Nice. We’ve had Mitsi’s and a few friends have had Shoguns/Pajeros/Monteros, good hardy robust vehicles that go on forever if looked after but as you show, engines are so much more powerful.

Mine made it to 227k miles with a shitty turbo intercooler and stock bottom end
