Your better off than we are. We are due in February and we literally have nothing yet. NOT ONE THING.

Just under two, he's due 12/31. I said I was gonna name him Refund, but we went with Sebastian.

That’s what the baby shower is for! Make others by the baby stuff for you, we got most of our stuff from our shower and the rest from stores like “once apon a child” (never get second hand child seats)

That's a fact. They changed the plates to a six digit a while ago, now they're reissuing the ones like what's on my Mustang. Naturally they're even reissuing plates they never got back, which makes parking enforcement tricky.

You know, Alex is a good unisex name!

You should spell it with an e instead of an a, so he will be destined to be a World Champion in WRC.

Here in Ontario we shall never ever run out of plates now. Once we ran out of AAA 111 and 111 AAA, we went to AAAA 1111. That is a huge array. We are only now gettting to the end of the B’s on the first digit. And we’ve had these plates for a decade now. I have been seeing BY’s around. But I’ll be gone before we get to the C’s. After 10 years 3 months next week is my last week living here.

It will come. By the time our first was born, we had enough clothes to keep the baby dressed for six months without having to do laundry. Even so, there were a few items that were never worn.

A baby doesn’t need much in the way of worldly goods, so don’t sweat it. Keep ‘em clean, warm, and fed. Most of all, love them. Anything beyond that is gravy (or lagniappe if you are from Louisiana).

It’s more the bigger ticket items. Stroller/carseat combo and crib set that I’m more concerned about at the moment. That shit ain’t cheap anymore.

The more “combo” it gets, the more expensive it gets. We found that we rarely used a stroller. Most seats will lock onto the top of a shopping cart, so there was little need for a separate stroller. My wife also hated taking the stroller since it didn’t fit well in the trunk of her car.

Cribs can be expensive, but don’t have to be expensive. Keep in mind that many of our grandparents slept in an opened dresser drawer when they were babies. Fancy isn’t necessary. There are lots of cribs out there for $100.

Yeah I’m not too worried but I just imagined that with only two and a half months to go that we would be a hell of a lot more prepared than we currently are.

I guess the procrastinator in me will never change. But I never miss a deadline I’ll probably get all the stuff a few weeks before the day.

As long as you have a car seat for the ride home, diapers, and a warm blanket, you have everything you absolutely need. For the first few months, anything and everything else falls under the “nice to have” category.
