Its a ‘03 S10 i got for free. All it needs is a battery charge and a fuel pump. After that I’m planning on dropping it 4 inches.
It even came with a free doge.
Ok so a little backstory on this pile. It was my grandfather’s until it broke and he decided that he wanted a newer truck anyway. So he went out and bought a 2011 ford ranger and gave me the s10. Now I don’t need an S10 nor do i really want one but I’m not going to turn down a free truck.

A 5.3 LS swap is a cheap and easy fix for the slow part.

Can confirm, I have a 5.3 litre vortec in my sierra (which wrighs a good bit more than an S10) and I have never had a problem with speed. Due to the weight distrubition, any more than the 300-ish HP it already has would cause the rear wheels to swap with the front any time I pressed the gas.

Looks a lot like my 2002 S-10. The fenders and doors look nice and straight. It’s always useful to have a spare car or two for emergencies.
I could use that center arm rest. Mine’s pretty trashed and the ones I’ve seen at pull a part weren’t any better. If you swap out your seats let me know.

That’s a seriously nice truck, especially since it’s free. It even looks rust free
Btw, what's all that brownish stuff in the footwell? Dirt?

One of the easiest trucks to work on IMO. Even the A/C stuff is right there under the hood. And I changed the clutch slave cyl in my S10. Yours is auto so lowering it wont affect the serviceability of a clutch.

Drop spindles and a motor swap away from complete awesomeness.

I love my S10! It’s a ‘95 4x4 with 169k on it but we still get quite a bit of use out of it.
