Went to a small meetup this morning. Nice turnout, hadn’t seen a first (second?)gen Viper up close in ages! I wanted to bring the M4 but my oldest son (3) insisted we bring the E90M today.

but, but, but that’s a gen 2. However the person who drove that exige in the rain is a hero.

Is it? Damn...my Viper chi is weak.

I only know a few things, so no judgement is passed.

So is it a true second gen or an updated first gen? I have seen both.

It’s a gen 2. The slimmed down hood, rear exhaust and spoiler lip are all from the 2.

Ah, well this is more what I meant. Like a factory facelift (defined as Phase II) vs an entirely new model like the 2003. But in any case, a second gen.

Wikipedia uses a different definition than the rest of viper sites and owners. It's a gen 2. Gen 3 started in 2003, at least from how all viper owners refer to them.

I'd trust Viper owners vs Wiki :D

Exige in rain is much less heroic than viper isn’t it?

Regarding the weather, it was mildly moist... Still brave on the R888s he was running.

I spun my Elise in a light rain under normal driving conditions. Sold it the next week for a viper because I couldn’t deal with the unpredictability of the lotus in the rain. Terrifying.

Hahaha, a Viper vs Lotus because of unpredictability? I honestly don’t have enough seat time in either to judge, but that sounds like selling a Colt .45 for a Desert Eagle .50 because of the recoil. :P
