I knew the streak had to end at some point. It’s only wheel bearings and basically the entire front braking system, so it’s mainly wear items. For a 20 year old, well abused SUV, that’s not bad.

All I can say is that you made the right choice. The Defender actually has no official record of breaking down, or for that matter any record of a single service, but then it wouldn’t because the Ministry Of Defense only released it last year, so it’s been impeccably maintained and while I am ‘officially’ correct, technically I’m full of shit.

Oh I know I made the right choice. It’s brought more than enough joy to make replacing the top end of the engine 3 years, 3 months ago completely worth it.

Lol, when I got it, it had some shitty rubber antenna that picked up like 1 station, so I took the one off our Trailblazer. It looks out of place, but it works.

The valve covers were cracked when I got it. And oil would drop on the headers.
