I saw a Dacia Sandero RS today! I hated it. 150HP is not sporty enough Renault.

interesting to hear that.
not enough power?

Not by today’s standards. The 1.6 DS3 has more than that and so do most of the other normal hatchbacks. A Turbo engine would’ve been better.

The Sandero weighs A LOT less than a DS3.

I heard it’s really good to drive around corners and has an excellent suspension and setup. The transmission supposedly sucks, though.
But damn, it looks cheap. The only redeeming part are the seats, which are nice. But R$60k for a suspension, an ancient 2.0 16V engine and crappy transmission. No thanks.

That’s a weird looking ten year old Clio.

HP do not mean anything... While indeed I doubt the Dacia Sandero RS is any fun, a car with 150hp, short gear ratio and that weighs around 1 ton IS a sport car.
That’s what is annoying with people... They look at HP figures and decide whether or not a car will be fun. Well, a 2015 Corolla with 200hp is A LOT less fun than a 120hp Peugeot 205 GTI. Go figure...

It’s a Dacia FFS, the whole point of Dacia is old Renault tech for half the price but with a warranty.

What’s the price? It all comes down to that. I am not sure when they will arrive in Mexico.

They sell it as a Renault here, at quite a hefty price.

1. It is a rebodied 3rd gen Clio anyway.
2. It is not my problem you live in a 4th world country where everything is stupid expensive for some reason.

By not sporty enough I meant the other small hot-ish hatches are more powerfull, a 150 HP light car is still sporty in my book.
