My BMW was too reliable, so I bought a Mercedes to go along with it. Well, nothing has broken so I just picked up another BMW, this time an E92 335i fresh off of it’s CPO warranty (finally back in a manual!!!!) Pics coming soon!

Do you still have the W204? How do you like it? I’m slowly making a list of sedans to replace my E46, and the C300 was the last manual Mercedes you could buy.

Still have it! I still have the 328i too. W204 has been solid so far, just put new tires on it. 72k and no problems. Not as fun to daily as the BMW but the interior is nicer and it’s more comfortable. Mine is fully loaded so I love all the toys on it (pano roof is my favorite). I can get 30mpg on the highway pretty easily. Trunk is pretty roomy and the back seat is adequate (about on par with the E90). Wish I could’ve found a manual one. Any specific questions?

I love how the E9x series looks, but I don’t trust my mechanical knowledge to fix anything if it breaks and don’t make enough to rely on the dealer for all the maintenance.

Lots of great info on forums! Very active community and aftermarket. My 328i has over 80k trouble free and I’m hoping the 335i is the same. Not too hard to work on either. And Indy shops love these!

They are getting cheap too.. Picked this 335i for stupidly cheap from a local BMW dealer.

How’s the torque from that engine? I love the low-end pull my M54 engine gives me and would be upset if I didn’t get something similar. Rolling on the throttle at 2,500rpm is intoxicating in my car.

Even the CPOs have gotten cheap! Hard part of picking one out for me is finding one with the M package or the standalone black headliner option because I can’t stand tan/ grey headliners.

I also don’t think I need the balls-to-the-wall-ness of the 335. I’m currently almost okay with the silly 140whp of my tC so I think I’d be good with a 328. I’d prefer a straight six over the turbo’d four banger though.

Why not push your luck some more and get this BMW 750iL for only $1500?

For about 2 Miata’s less than $20k, I got a 2009 335i sport package coupe 6MT with premium package that just came off of CPO warranty.

Low mileage 328i’s go for under $15k all day long.

All E9x’s are inline sixes in the USA! And I was completely satisfied with the 230HP of the 328i. Would totally recommend one as a daily driver. I wish I could've had the M-package, closest I could get with manual was this sport package.

Low end is pretty nice.. Definitely won't struggle to merge from short onramps. The 4matic + auto transmission seems to rob a little bit of the speed from the C300 but there is definitely still a nice amount of grunt. Sounds very nice from outside too, i think the previous owner MUST have done some sort of mod because it sounds too good to be a stock V6 Mercedes.

Yes! I too bought a E92 335i CPO a few months ago. Much fun shall be had in its turbocharged glory.

Nice! Love the LCI E92’s. Any plans to mod it?

I was thinking about it, but I find myself a bit put off by the performance to dollar upgrades for it. You can make some stupid good power out of these but for the money I would rather buy an old Miata and make a track toy. Which is what I plan on doing once I am in my own place. If I decide to do something it would be to swap the wheels to 19” 359m style.

Definitely gonna look at 328i’s...

I’ll take it you purchased from a dealership and not private party?

Yes sir, got the 335i from a BMW dealership, the 328i from a Mercedes Benz dealer.

A manual 328i coupe is actually what I was looking to buy, until I found this 335i!

Tip: get a 2009 or newer if you can, the sedans were facelifted and iDrive was updated.
