Now my S600 has Bluetooth! I did this with an ion Bluetooth cassette adapter. However, I also figured out that my tape ejector doesn't work, so I have a little string rigged up to pull it out . Worth it though !

I have a different brand, but did the same thing in the SL. Pretty cool how something so simple can be so beneficial in an “older” car.

Aw man. I feel out of date. I have a cassette with an Aux jack for my 4Runner that may or may not have been from a yard sale.

I NEED IT FOR THE TRIUMPH OMFG. But seriously this would be perfect for what I want. I want to listen to loud music off my phone but I don’t want to install a new head unit.

Does your cassette slot stay exposed when the stereo is operating normally, or is it like the units in my folk’s W210s where the slot is covered up under normal operation.

I’ve been trying to configure some sort of aux in setup for them for some time, and because of the way the factory stereo works this has been a problem.

What’s the sound quality like? I’ve been using a wired cassette adaptor for years. It works pretty well, but unless I put my phone in flight mode, it picks up shocking amounts of REALLY LOUD interference.

The command screen covers the slot opening, so a Bluetooth unit it what works best.

It’s caught in the unfortunate gap between Bluetooth and tape. 7 CDs and a tape player, but no aux or Bluetooth

It's sounds pretty good so long as your phone is around half volume.
