Not car-related. Just my M4 in CSR2 to attract you.
So some of my classmates (who are in student government) decided to start a class Facebook page. Now, this sounds good and well...but
Students can’t post. I understand the general lack of maturity of children in our grade, so not everyone should have the privilege.
I feel that student intercommunication is essential to extrapolate the most from the page, so some other kids could be allowed to post, but alas the student admins are bent on relegating it to just them.
Here’s one of the things I commented; it asically summarizes how I feel.
“As I feel that in its current state, this page is merely the student government, and then the rest of the grade. I feel that “we” are placed as subordinate... for a page that’s meant to be “US”. Therefore, renaming it to CLASS OF (YEAR) GOV’T INFO. PAGE will limit to its purpose, as you feel that the students are too callow to handle such responsibility.”
Sorry to condemn you guys with high school “politics”, but what does Oppo think?

Don't post again on it. Trust me, the page, if left open to comments, will turn into a sh*t show of epic proportions.

How do they prevent students from posting? Do they check who’s in the comments then delete their comments if they’re a known student?

I think they changed posting permissions or whatever.

High schoolers still use Facebook?
But anyways, I agree with what Pat said. It seemed kind of dumb for the group to make a page online surrounding a controversial subject, but that’s just me.
Maybe an Instagram would be better, because wider audience?

That’s fucking stupid. I’m in student government, and we used to have a strict private page just for us, but we wouldn’t pull posting privileges on non student gov people. Those guys are wussies to not assume risk and unintentionally made everyone pissed off. It doesn’t make sense if they’re going to just post their propaganda. It should be allowed to everyone in that class and then the trolls get removed one by one.
Student government is usually run by people who are insecure and don’t have much common sense while maintaining a high GPA. For instance, I gave some of my fellow sheeplings specific strict instructions before and after a car crash when I was on my way to a painting project. Even with countless lectures and briefings, THEY STILL SCREWED UP. The guy who gave this decision to screw up is a honor student with an astronomically high GPA. But if you need him to understand how 2 part paint works and how respirators give you a lower chance of epoxy paint fumes killing off brain cells, he doesn’t understand one single inkling.

This. Every FB page I was a part of in HS was absolutely useless, except the buying/selling stuff page lol.

1. High school really doesn’t matter. As long as you get good grades and have fun, that’s all that matters. I wouldn’t stress over this type of stuff.
2. Student pages aren’t a great idea. My university got in a lot of trouble for some male dentistry students who made inappropriate (for lack of a better term) comments about their female classmates. I know that’s a one-case scenario, but it’s so easy to do the wrong thing on social media groups. It’s a lesson that’s better learned earlier.
To do it right, I’d say the group should be open, then admin-ed by whoever runs the student body. High schoolers are always on the internet anyways. I doubt anything horrible would get by.
Sorry for the truth bombs. Have a Pagoda.

Asked for opinions...what you wrote is trying way too hard to sound sophisticated. Second, don’t bother with a high school Facebook page where the opinions are from high schoolers. Go drive!
Third, I didn’t know what csr2 was and was going to question your parents wisdom in getting you an m4. Glad I googled it first haha.

Allright, your M4 trick worked. Here I am.
I think you’re right. If the page is about and for the students in your grade/class/school/prison then ALL should be able to post (obviously, the admins of the page would reserve the right to delete nasty posts, etc.).
If the page is about the student government, then yes, its reasonable to restrict posting to those in gov’t, as the page’s purpose would mostly be like a bulletin board, and less like an open forum.
So they need to make up their minds as to what this page is for.
However, as others have noted, having an open forum of any type, much less a high school class, may not be the best idea, unless you like living in a swamp. But that’s the price of freedom. I guess.

Aside:
BMW - Bad Mannered Wanker
BMW - Bald Middle-aged Wanker
There are hundreds of acronyms for what BMW actually stands for but we’ll leave it here for now.
On Student Government:
Having left high school almost two decades ago, my experience no longer counts for anything in the real world. As for student government? I was either spinning spanners on Saxos and Sierras or kicking a football about in the laneway - where five-a-side meant more than the FA Cup.
What do I actually think of Student Government? Ha ha ha ha, hee hee hee hee, hoo hoo hoo hoo. Unless you wield actual power, you’re better off playing Risk. At least then you get to invade Kamchutka.

Lol seriously, just get good grades and get some ass.
HS is for enjoyment really because as you get older the responsibilities pile on. My little brother is going to HS next year and I would switch with him any day to be carefree again.

HS politics made me angry plus bitter half of junior and senior year. Stay away from it to avoid the headache.
