I had to sell the lovely beast a while ago due to a move that wound me up with much less parking - and its inability to be a daily driver meant it was the one that had to go. But it guarantees E24 ownership once again for me, someday.
Such a great old bimmer

Love these. BMW design was on point during the 80s

Nice E24! I miss mine too... and also plan owning another at some point. Every time I see one at a show I get SO jealous lol.

I definitely will own one at some point, love those things. Possibly one of the best looking cars ever in my opinion (fuck you if you disagree, i love the 80s & 90s)

Momo Monte Carlo. Timeless design.

Ohh they look so good in black...and you had the proper air dam too. Mine was a 633csi so it didn't come with any of the goodies they got later on

It really was. Many of my favourite cars came from bmw in the 60s-90s, there’s almost nothing bad from them in the 80s though

I wholeheartedly agree, although the euro spec ones had quite a bumper advantage. A euro e24 is definitely on my list of best looking cars ever

I bet yours was great to drive though! Nice and light compared to an 88/89 with the rear beverage cooler + SLS system, both of which were broken of course hahah

Of course haha. Yeah really the only problems I had with it were the fuel economy and the blue interior. With a black later interior swapped in, and more money for gas, it would've been perfect. I don't think I've had a more comfortable car. I mean maybe the E32 but it couldn't corner the way the 6 could. It was really wonderful handling for a 1970s-designed GT

There’s this euro-yard about 35 minutes from me with tons of Volvos, jags, and even some VW bus carcasses. Has a white E24 right out front with a perfect body thats been sitting so long its tires are sunk into the dirt around it.
That’s the one I always single out as the most worthy of rescuing. The interior is a complete write off, but I look at pristine examples online and wonder what could be and how much the crazy dude would take for it.

Oooooh man I love the blue interior tho! I’m a sucker for color. My Q45 has a black interior, I love the car and the weather is really nice but it’s just another black interior, you know? Nothing inviting or endearing about it. Also MMMMM E32s... I bet that's fun!

I like colour, I just specially don’t like the blue haha. As far as bmw leather interiors of the era go, the Taurus red I think is my favourite. My friends e28 had it, some of the best seats I’ve ever sat in, front and back. Yeah my trucks black interior is a bit stark. The E32 was briefly glorious...and then the high pressure power steering hose blew, pump ran dry and seized, and burned off the serpentine belt :/ and now she sits because I am poor.
My buddies old 535’s interior

I always recommend rescuing old bmws, even though they take all my money....I just love them

Ooooo yeah that red is great! I’ve never seen that leather in-person. I really want to see buffalo hide IRL too, I believe that was an early E24 option. So ridiculous lol.
