Chain tensioner confirmed. I’ve already ordered the parts at my own expense. Worked out to $500 for overnight shipping and all parts/seals. What pisses me off is that it’ll take ECS 3-4 days just to get the tensioner on hand. Hopefully the dealership can work with the time needed for shipping. Anyways, this still beats paying the full Audi/VW price ($1200) for just the tensioner alone.

I hope this works out.

Oh and of course the cost for labor and etc. fees are definitely going to be in the standard “German car” price range.

Sad thing is that this has happened to me before on another, cheaper Audi product. The difference is: I had the time to do all the work myself.
