this makes me want to forget about the old Land Crusiers and start chasing Jags again. I saw an early 2000’s XJ8 today in that same color. such beautiful cars

I really dig the pictures and the jag. I have an ‘05 VDP, but am thinking I’d like a more vintage one too. Does it treat you well? Let’s just say the ‘05 is a bit maintenance-intensive but it’s a beautiful, fast, and fuel-efficient car. I’d like to hear about your ownership experience.

Mantaince wise they’re probally a little better than your ‘05 just because they’re simpler. Mine has been pretty well behaved for the three years i’ve owned which is pretty good since i only bought for 2 grand. Pretty much everything that went wrong on it was simple and common problems on any old car. The biggest thing with these cars is that you WILL end up losing money on the resale (if you do sell it) just because they’re not vauable enough.
