The stock Mk 1 Scirocco is a beautiful car - this is not. Some designs were never meant to be turned into shooting brakes. It looks somewhat like that really ugly Polo in the ‘80s:
However, I have to say that I really dig the wheel covers on the Polo.

I like both.

Owned the Polo. OP is wrong

Yeah, really. The only thing offputting about the first one is the dumb wheels.

Say what about the mk2 Polo?

I like everything I see here except the wheels on the Scirocco. Reminds me of a Lada Niva, which is a universally recognized Good Thing.

If they wanted a 2-door VW Wagon, why not, like, the Fox?

Pretty sure the car is just a Fox with a Scirocco front clip.

Only thing I don’t like about the scirocco are the huge wheels.
Now, it it was lowered and on a set of small basket weaves...

I have never seen a good looking shooting brake

Nah, check the shape of the C pillar and the style of the tail lights. Definitely a Scirocco

I’d drive that, no questions asked.

I love it
