Yep, thanks for doing that! Nice to see they both appear to still be on the road! I was hoping for a mileage check on the BMW, since it was like 202k when I sold it. But also interesting that the GMC is still happy -or at least on the road - at almost 200k too. It also looks like the same guy still owns it!

Only rust on the car is in expected places like calipers and sway bars, and it’s just surface corrosion. Body and subframes are clean as a whistle.

That emissions thing noted on the report is probably recall-related, there’s a sticker in the engine bay saying that emissions recall work has been done to it.

184k miles now. Rocker panels rusted out and were rebuilt a year ago. Accident in 2003 explains why it has an unpainted rear bumper - cheap repair. Mechanically it still runs like a champ and will keep my BRZ out of a Massachusetts winter. Best of all, it was a hand-me-down from my fiancee. Thanks for the check!

I scoured NH craigslist for that one, and then found my current one at a local independent shop that specializes in BMW and in particular manuals, AND they love wagons. They don’t have any on their lot right now, which is rare actually. At one point they had a V70R, 325xi, and Legacy GT, all manual, on the lot at the same time. They DO have a 525iT 5 speed right now though.

These guys tend to only buy the nicest examples they can find of particular cars, and they fix EVERYTHING wrong with them before selling them. They did crazy stuff to mine, like replacing the + battery terminal cap under the hood, repairing a TINY hole in the driver’s door upholstery, and a bunch of other details, along with any mechanical weak points.
