So it seems Mercedes will be giving a stern talking to LH over his move on NR in the race. Was Nico’s pouting really that bad?

I’ve mentioned in other discussions on the internet that that Nico was probably pissed about the contact and being pushed wide, but it always seem to generate
“You’re just a hater”
type comments. I keep forgetting how excitable Hamilton fans are.
While it’s no secret I don’t like the guy, I think he deserved the championship, BTW. He earned every point.
That doesnt’ change that move was pretty aggressive. Kudos to Nico for going wide and saving both cars. I would have been tempted to stay on circuit and let the parts fall where they may. There’s no way Nico would have been penalized for trying to stay on the racing surface.

Hamilton’s driving is that bad. Let’s be honest he’s the only person to crash into Maldonado. It’s probably best that he’s in the fastest car so he doesn’t have to screw up another pass.

BREAKING: Hamilton reprimanded by Toto Wolff, told: “Don’t be a bad boy, Lewis, don’t go throwing hats at your team mate”

It could’ve been far worse....it could’ve been a Stetson that he threw.

There is that point that he’s an aggressive driver but he does know how to push Nico around. Heck we saw what the potential outcome could have been in Russia with the contact between Kimi and Valtteri (which I thought was hilarious) when there’s no give.
But definite kudos are in order for keeping it together in the beginning. I hope it can be agreed that Nico lost it for himself with spinning the tires late in the race causing himself to go off course. Mercedes’ whole strategy with the race was to help Nico catch up in the points which was working and he blew it. I almost half thought he would let Seb past in the end to keep the fight alive for another race.

Lewis is aggressive but always fair in his moves, I think. Nico knows he can’t make a move that will disable either car because he’ll get fired. That was Mercedes’ ultimatum to both drivers after Nico’s idiotic Spa 2014 cutting of Hamilton’s tire and making him DNF as a result.
Anyway, Nico himself admitted that the move didn’t really affect the race since it was topsy turvy the whole time, so I’m not convinced anything will come of it. It’s no worse than Japan 2015 at Lap 1, turn 2 or even the myriad of moves at Bahrain 2014 between both of them.
