So...the worst part of having a car from NY and living through NJ winters is what it does to metal. My exhaust is rather in shitty condition. My current choices are get an OEM one installed from Acura ($700+), go !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ($900+ w/o install) or do custom piping (Price: ???).
I love my TL and all, but am looking to avoid dumping money into it to make it my own project as I want to sell it by next year. At the same time I need to get this done if I ever want to sell it for a decent price. Any advice? Also, if you’ve done custom piping any idea how much that’d cost me?
(not my TL but hhhnnggg)

go custom, should definitely be cheaper than the Apexi but not sure it it will be cheaper than OEM but you will be able to get the sound you want

Do you need to replace it? Can’t you just patch it up?

Time to go to CL or a junkyard and find a trashed car to raid for parts.

Can you weld? Because replicating the stock exhaust shouldn’t be too hard.

You can buy my $10k TL. There’s nothing wrong with it, everything’s perfect! All you have to do is replace all the doors, windows, and trunk paneling and reinstall the engine...after you rebuild it. The engine is in pieces. Oh, and it was a flood car, so they sawed it in half before I got it.
...other than all that, it’s perfect!

Find a shop with 3 wrecked race cats parked out back, pull in and ask them if patch up exhaust, if they don’t they’ll know someone who does. (This work in the south anyway)

As long as there’s enough there to add some thin metal sheeting, jubilee clamps, and exhaust paste, you ought to be OK.

Just search. I’m sure you can get 1 under 400
