Just got back from a Mizzou for my school’s marching band competition. It was a long day with a 110 mile drive each way, and my car basically got exactly what the EPA said it should when it was new.
Not bad for a car with a 3.2L engine, performance oriented gearing, and only 5 speeds.
Oh yeah, and a near two hour drive home and I’m not sore and my butt doesn’t hurt nor do I have a headache from wind and tire noise. Shout out to BMW for making a car that can both hang with the best of them in the twisties and cruise on the freeway.

What kind of speeds were you doing on the drive to and fro?

Mostly 70, though that dropped to 65 once I got close to St Louis

Yes.. I’ve explained a couple times there were a couple week a few months ago where it gave me multiple issues all at once and it was just frustrating. Plus some of my complaints have been remedied either on their own or it was a simple fix. Like the ride being too stiff, the shocks broke in and it’s smoother now, or the stereo having crackling speaker, I just simply unplugged the ones that were. I’ve come to realize the car isn’t perfect and won’t be for a long time if ever, but I still love it.
