Today, we lost one of the last actors from Hollywood’s golden age. Maureen O’Hara was 95. I grew up watching The Parent Trap and Miracle on 34th Street, and thought she was an amazing actress. And even though she lived to a ripe old age, it still seems sad that she’s gone.

I can’t imagine The Quiet Man with any other woman in the lead role. Both dramatic and comedic all at once, with all of the class, beauty, and gracefulness that so few in Hollywood have had since.
