Antvideo for Firefox works well. If you have android, Frostwire plus is the best. Not sure about Chrome, Mac or iOS.

I use the website clipconverter.cc. I use it all the time to grab videos and to convert live performance videos into MP3s. Plus it works with lots of video sites, not just YouTube.
