Someone rotated the tires and installed the front wheels on the rear, and vice versa. That’s a problem because the Smart Fortwo uses staggered wheels/ tires. I sent an email to our local car2go team to let them know of the problem.

Somebody should not be allowed near a car, much less to work on one.
I suggest you do contact them...

I would like to know who they use for servicing their car... so I know who to avoid.
I find it seriously pathetic the number of mechanics I’ve encountered who can’t get basic things right like this.

I’m not seeing it from the picture, what’s the tire difference between front and rear?

Front tires are 155/60R15, rear tires are 175/55R15. So there’s almost an extra inch of width for the rear tires. The difference is more visible in person than in this picture.

I wonder if the guy who did it thought the ForTwo is front-wheel-drive and he was putting the wide tires on the drive wheels. Because all small cars are FWD, right?
