The shop I use(not pictured) might be closing. I noticed a For Sale sign on their lot the last time I drove by and my heart sank. “Maybe they don’t own the property and the landowner is selling.” I hoped. But today I ran into the owner and he confirmed my fears. They’ll be closing up in January unless his one employee is able to buy it off of him.
I feel bad for him and his family including his employees. I wasn’t pressing for specifics, but familial obligations are taking up the majority of his time for the foreseeable future. The shop itself was always busy so I hope if the employee takes over it keeps on going.
On a cool note, I found out he is from Portugal and quite the rally fan. On a cooler note, he’d probably still be working on cars on the side for certain people(me included)if the shop closes completely.
