For the last show of the year, both the organizers and the participants pulled out all the stops to bring a truly amazing event. So how many pictures did I take? 100? 200? Nope, I took seven.
It was ungodly cold for whatever reason, and I didn’t want to take my hands out of my pockets unless I really had to. So, my apologies, but this will have to do.
Starting off with some kind of Glas roadster... I’ve seen a few of these, but this one stood out because it didn’t have BMW badges on it. Glas was bought out by BMW early on in the production of these cars, meaning this must have been made prior to that.
Probably the last brand of car I’d expect to ever see at a cars and coffee; GT4 players will instantly recognize it as a Pescarolo. There was also an Audi R8 LMP, because why not.
I don’t care what anyone says, the Alfa SZ is the shit. Needless to say, it was the first one I had seen.
Bumpered- E’s are fine and all, but this is what they should all look like. In fact, every British sports car owner in the world should remove the bumpers off of their cars immediately. It’s just better.
To the uninitiated, this probably looks like an
e28
e12 with some stripes and an eBay-M badge glued on. It’s a bit more special than that,

I only took a picture of this cause it’s identical to the one my friends just sold, and I thought it had somehow made its way from Cleveland to Connecticut in a day.
This little Honda was the coolest bike of the show. It’s not much bigger than my 20” BMX bike, and it understandably came in strapped to the bed of a truck. I can’t imagine the 5hp, 50cc engine is all the great for highway riding, especially on such a cold day. And that’s the Blipshift Volvo C303 behind it, if you were wondering...
The lack of pictures and cold weather aside, it really was an awesome show. I saw several opponaut’s cars, but there were so many people there that I unfortunately didn’t see many familiar faces. This was also the first time I came in something
actually
show worthy, and I didn’t have to park in the peasant lot half a mile away. It was really fun actually being part of the action, even if the e30 I came is wasn’t
technically
mine...

This car has less than 4000km on it, and is for sale! I’ve gotten to know the owner a bit because he goes to my local C&C, and the low mileage scares him a lot. Understandable sort of, given the age of the car, but I think he should still keep it. It fits his personality really well.

I saw Aaron and Brian, but somehow I didn’t see you, what gives?!
Also, where are your pictures of those two original 289 Cobras, and the Lotus Cortina? I kid, I kid, the cold was brutal, and certainly affected how many pictures I took as well. I mean, it was snowing after the show dispersed. Absolute madness!

I met up with Aaron and Brian too, I must’ve just been at the wrong place at the wrong time...
The HEMI wagon is looking good though, and one of the 289s drove by me as it left, what a noise!

Hard to say what the winner was for me though. I’ve seen the Huayra before, so it didn’t make my jaw drop this time (though it’s certainly impressive)....probably the rat rod that showed up a bit later. That thing was wicked.
The Astons were really cool, and the bumperless E Type certainly rustled some jimmies....

Definitely some cool stuff; that rat rod was brutal and there was a 918 hidden amongst the sea on 993s for a little bit. The SZ and the M535i took the cake for me though, simply because I completely forgot both of them existed.

My car is right behind these 2, parked between those 2 trees lol.

The S6 Avant, right? I did see it there!

Yup! That’s my main squeeze.

My dad used to have that generation of A6 that was the same color, I loved that car!
