Looks like I’ll be dropping it off somewhere tomorrow to see if they can make the bubbles go away.
Primed the other three, tho.

That’s more than a slow leak! Looks like the bead needs to be seated. Try filling it to like 50 psi then let it back down to normal pressure and see if it still leaks like that.

Already did. I think that’s the wheel I had to remove the tire and clean up the bead face before. I think I took it to the tire place three or four times, only to find it leaking about 10psi/week. It was a right side tire, and that’s one of them.
I believe there may be fix-a-flat in it because I got frustrated not being able to find the slow leak.

Deal the cards. We’ll let Discount Tire deal with the leak.

What they’ll probably do is dismount the tire and use a grinder to clean up any corrosion on the inside of the wheel. There is a sealer compound that can then be applied to the bead before re-mounting the tire. I’ve seen this work effectively on aluminum rims.

The left-front tire on my Accent has a slow leak...have to pump it up every 2-3 days as it drops 10psi in that time. Supposed to be 32psi and it’s often down to 18-20psi in that time...

My passenger side rear tire is doing the exact same thing at the tire weight, probably 2-3 psi a week.

I’m not getting my hopes up, I’ve been down this road before with it.

You’re such a tease. Are playing cards cheaper than index cards?

They are when you have three or four decks just sitting around. I get them free with purchase from the fireworks place.

Nice. Good reason to buy more fireworks.
So, just how long are you going to draw out this color reveal?

I did a coat with the rustoleum fluorescent can I bought, but screwed it up. Not sure if it was too cold, or what... but they came out looking like this (below). Two coats of primer went on perfectly.

Weird. I’d trust that’s the color if I didn’t know how handy your are with Photoshop...

perhaps jamming all these playing cars in there ruined your bead! :P

This - except I much prefer the sealer goo does not get used. That stuff makes the job a nightmare for the next guy, and if the cleanup is done well usually isn’t necessary. If I have time I’ll have somebody leave the wheel with me and spray a clearcoat on and let it cure before remounting the tire.

If so, I guess I’ll just have to
deal
with it.

ha, here in canada we don’t even have to paint our steelies that colour, they magically become that colour by them selves after about 3 years of usage.
