I listed a car for sale online, and not 30 mins later I get a text from someone asking for a history report from ivincheck.com. Upon researching the site I discover scammers are pretending to be interested in cars, and getting a commission for every report downloaded. Lets waste some of this scammers time. Feel free to post your funny text exchange below.

I will not participate, but I will watch as hilarity ensues.

I’d just start asking all sorts of questions about how to do it. Like play REALLY dumb.

Ask him how his sister is doing, when he responds say she’s in bed with you.

Give him a report from a different site.

If he has $60 (which is a lot of money in my opinion), he can not only get a CarFax report, but also be able to CarFax every car he sees the license plate of. Mwa ha ha.

That was my inspiration. Unfortunately it seems to be an automated response.

I actually already have a Carfax. He just wants to trick me into buying a report from this no name site so he can get his $5 commission.

He/She is not a serious buyer. He/She gets paid to trick sellers into buying a report. They scour craigslist, and text people all day pretending to be a buyer, but demanding to see this report before purchasing the car.

Set a wakeup call for them every 15 mins starting at 3am. There’s an online wakeup call service.

You’d have to fuck over at least 100 people every week just to get below average pay.
How do you not feel slimy after fucking over one person? And you gotta do like 20/day? Just get a normal not-shitty slimy job, scammer guy.

Not even funny.
I got a new number recently and every fucking day I get at least 5 calls from them!
They always call from a different number and they never stop.

Exactly!
This is probably one of those “work from home, and make up to $5000 a week” job opportunities.

Unfortunately it seems to be automated.

Sad. I wonder if they are using something like an email to SMS gateway. Someone is paying for those text messages one way or another...

Actually that’s kind of fortunate. At least we know there’s not a real person wasting their days on such a sketchy means of employment.
