Hooray for Sundays, I spent about 3 hours cleaning the car today (after an hour yesterday, maybe I should get out more) and finally sorted the stereo so I could put back the little stereo door cover thingy. Car is finally back in 1 piece for the first time in the two weeks that I have owned it, yay.
Then once I had done the photographs I went for a little blast around Surrey which was a rather lovely way to close out the weekend.

She looks great. Have you put any winter protection on her on are you going to in the coming month or so?
These are some fantastic products out there now which save massive amounts of time.

Its had a fairly liberal coating of wax on the bodywork, and I am still not sure about whether to do any undersealing this winter or just suck it up and do it next summer when I have more time.
Any recommendations of products?

There's no audio display of any sort?

Looks awesome! FYI you appear to have flipped some of the photos so the steering wheel appears to be on the wrong side. :)

Its behind the little panel that says S2000. So you pop that and behind the little door is the stereo. Its all about no distractions for the driver.

I’ve never undersealed but depending on how the winter goes in your area you may want to rinse the underside of any road salt and debris which tends to accumulate in the wheel arch recesses.
If you want to underseal it’s best in the summer when there is less moisture in the air and warmer conditions for the sealant to dry properly.
As you have a soft top I’d water proof the soft top with a good fabric proofer such as Gtechniq I1, 303 Fabric Seal, etc... and run some rubber restorer around the door seals with Einszett Gummi Pflege Stift to restore the rubber and make it more malleable, because in a heavy frost the door window motor will try and pull down the window an inch so you can open the door but the ice will set like glue on the lower edge of the window and the upper edge of the door which will put pressure on the window motor and you’ll still effectively be locked out of your car. You can buy it off eBay for around £6, it does work and it does last. With having a convertible it’s best to keep on top of the rubbers anyway as they can cause creaks on un-even roads which is just annoying.
If you get chance too. Operate the roof till about half way and then turn off the ignition and then with an all purpose cleaner, wipe around all the rubber, wipe again with a clean microfibre and then treat with the rubber restorer and leave to soak in for a minute or two then continue with the roof operation.

Oo thats awesome advice thanks. I know I had to do something with the Rubber seals but I wasnt sure what. Thank you very much Ill look into that.
I hope to not use it too much over Winter, I wont use it to commute so only on weekends which should help keep it good. Thinking about treating it to a cover so during the week it can be kept out of the worst of the weather.

Well as long as we can both agree that New Zealand is never right that’s an acceptable outcome.

I don’t know why it won’t post a screen of the video I post but first is a video on how to apply Gtechniq I1 (which is also great for car interior fabrics to repel liquid stains).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9-mR4eprQk
The second is how to apply Einszett Gummi Pflege.

Try to get a breathable cover and not to put the cover on when it’s cold or wet as moisture with get trapped between the cover and the vehicle and you will get mould spots on the fabric and water spot damage on the paint where the fabric has rested on the clearcoat of the paint.

It’s my thing. I did a neighbours VW Eos when he bought it. He had creaks and knocks when going over un-even road surfaces. Treated the rubbers and all is good.
I’ve got a few winter protections to do on friends cars over the next month or so.

I’ll get one myself. One day. I’ll have mine.
Actually no, that’s as far as I can go in terms of ownership.
