The look on the fans’ faces after the play were amazing. Even the MSU fans were too shocked to celebrate.

Honestly... msu had no business winning that game. There was no targeting on Bolden. The refs missed a lot of penalties that got called in msu’s favor which ended up swaying the game. Michigan’s defense played incredibly and the offense was almost completely mistake free- a rarity. Worst of all though is that the punter is getting all of the blame when, in fact, it was the snapper who snapped the ball too low. He had an EIGHTY YARD PUNT!!!! Thats INSANE!!!! And yet, it will be overshadowed by a play that wasn’t entirely in his control. Sure he could have jumped on it, and probably should have, but he should have never been in the position to need to do that.
I was there. Section 32 Row 28. I saw the whole game. That wasn’t how it was supposed to go. Nobody moved for a solid 6-7 mins after the final play. The place was deadly silent. And silencing 111,000 people is no small feat.

I’m a Nebraska fan and the Cornhuskers’ have 4 losses like that this year. When BYU won on a Hail Mary it was just deafening silence.

We lost in a way only we could...so I guess that’s something.

Hate to burst your bubble but Michigan State had better statistics so they should’ve won and they did so it worked out correctly.

Yes and the team with better statistics always plays better. You don’t need a million yards of offense when your defense holds the opposing team deep in their own half and have excellent punt returns so you are working with a short field. Michigan had a better QBR and completion percentage, more rushing yards, double the kickoff return yards, and 12 times more punt return yards. State went 3/12 and 0/4 on 3rd and 4th downs. they completed 13% of their passes on Michigan’s half of the field. I would look a little closer at the “statistics” before you declare state was better. There’s a reason they didn’t move after their win and Michigan is still in the top 15.
