Yep, at some point the passenger 3-point Volkswagen belt was replaced with an International Harvester lap belt. I need to swap it back eventually, but for now I’ve got this.

Yeah, it’s definitely on my list. Actually, my question right now is if I want to go with the OEM-style non-automatic-retracting seatbelts (you have to adjust them to the correct length yourself. No spring loading or automatic retracting), or if I want to update the whole car to inertia reel.

I would prob go with inertia reel, if it were me I’d think. Yes, the self-adjusting are period-correct, but inertia reel would be easier to live with and safer. I’m with Jay Leno when he says there are some things that it is good to update on classic cars! :)
