These will make my car AWD, right?
Decided to downsize to 16” ‘02-’05 WRX wheels with the narrower 205/55 WS80s from my oem FR-S wheels with 215/45/17 WS80s, because I couldn’t let @

Needs more studs

It’s amazing how skinny those tires are.

If these weren’t also functioning as my daily winter wheels/tires they’d have studs.
I want to have a studded set for next winter to put on just for ice racing.

white WRX wheels, that’s my style

Well, studs aren’t
really
needed unless you have either 5 months of proper winter, or are actually ice racing competetively. Living in Norway with a car with no ABS, studs are a must have.

I wouldn’t be going for it competitively, but it’d be fun to be able to hold more speed when I do rallyx in the winter.
If I do it I’d buy some cheap wheels and a used set of studdable winter tires and just make my own.

Yep! Got them off a buddy for a pretty good deal. He used them on his BRZ as winters, and spray painted them just before last winter. The white should look good on my red FR-S.

Where are you racing? A good friend of mine and I are very interested in getting started with ice racing.

Oooohhhh! Those center caps are sweeeeet!

I think I have a project for this weekend now.
Touch up the white and paint the lettering in the center caps.

might be of help, but I found a paintbrush was too big, so I painted using skewers (as bought from grocery store for skewering meat for kebabs), and this just dripped in red model paint, as one would use for painting model airplanes.
It’s a nice strong oil based paint and lasted through the winter, and it flowed well into the recessed lettering

Did you use a thinner at all with the paint? I’m trying to do it now and this stuff just won’t settle right. :/

I didnt. I do recall it took me a fews tries though, perhaps a small dap.of thinner might do the trick. Is it cold where you are, possibly thickening the paint?

Eh, not really cold or warm. Pretty mild, but I guess more to the cooler side.
