It is.
This is a good friend’s car, an ‘06 S manual. It’s on older KW V1 coilovers and he doesn’t like the way it handles in certain situations on his new backroad commute, so he’s left it with us for some tweaking & possible upgrades. I often deeply dislike this job, but it has its moments.

And you’re planning on giving this back? I think you should keep it, and then just deny he ever lent it to you. Convince him he lost it in a carpark or something.

Haha, that won’t be necessary. I drive like a grandpa now anyway, and if I got a hankering to drive this he’d toss me the keys any time. My hooligan days are past, I swear it!

It’s an automatic, but I do like them a lot. That one’s got 235,00 miles on it. I wanted one for years, but working on them professionally cured me of that. That’s why I want your car :)

there is a wheeler dealers episode where he buys a boxter s for like 1k pounds and fixes it up. I want to find a deal like that.

Early 2.5L Boxsters are getting down under $7k, it’ll happen.

Haha, my old b5 was a Tip, mtm stage 3. Faster than most expected, think ko3 spool up with way more TQ (something like 385ft/lbs at 3.5k rpm). Still have that ECU too.
My C4 is way more fun though, not just cause of the third peddle, but because of all the old tech; No traction control, drive by wire, locking rear diff. Very raw/natural feeling. Hooning is a blast, and winter is coming!
I would still get another B5, they handle better (granted, mine was heavily worked), and I learned way too much about the 2.7 to just shelf all those memories/experiences LOL.

*He types as his wife stares intently at the screen making sure her kids are never in the back seat of that thing while he is “test driving” it*
