I don’t like it.
Passed a navy blue Discovery Sport and was very disappointed. The shape kinda made me think Outlander while the lights were definitely LR and they did a good job making it fit their lineup. It’s just so...so...
Blah.
^ Pillars are different, differences all over the place to be honest, but look between the two.
This isn’t the first one I’ve seen so far; there was one in my area last week as well. I didn’t like it then, either. Based purely on looks and price I would go in a few other directions before dropping (a rounded number) $40k on one of these.
Clearly I’m ignoring how it drives, features, etc. but the Internet is for biased opinions and telling others how wrong they are. I took care of the first part, feel free to tell me I’m wrong.
Any judgement on your commute today?

I vastly prefer the F-Pace over the Disco Sport, although I really don’t mind the new Disco Sport. It reminds me of the Explorer, which I actually like. Plus it’s way better than the Freelander/LR2 it replaces.

I drove one last month and all I could think was: supped up CRV. The way it drives is far better than a CRV in my opinion and considering what was said about it, I expected worse off road but it held it’s own.

I don’t particularly like any of the entry level Rovers but that’s usually the case with things like this. They exist so companies can make crazy shit like the SVR.

I think it’s extremely ugly.

whats the difference between that and the evoque?

Valid point.

Not much. I think the Evoque just hangs it’s hat on being the “stylish”, or “posh”, or whatever they want to say, one of the group. It’s more like a raised hatch whereas they went more mainstream with the Sport to make it a CUV that they won’t call a CUV.

I barely got into any traffic at all today.
Yesterday I was being tailgated by an “I WANNA LOOK LIKE A COP” Panther that had added the spotlight. (or he had added stock Crown Vic suspension). It’s also pretty obvious you aren’t a cop when there are no lights in the grille or near the center mirror.
I also have been seeing a ton of DOT and construction company marked F150s with police lights pulling people over in construction zones. It’s incredibly smart.
