Today after work is my first appointment with a psychiatrist to finally try and treat the ADHD I’ve been dealing with my entire life. And because of images like the one above, I am taking the motorcycle to the appointment.
This probably tells you everything you need to know about my sense of humor.

Good for you, and I hope it goes well :)
And I always did think that saying had more to do with the stubbornness/denial of our fellow riders than their sound mental health ;)

So that sign is saying that bikers suffer from untreated mental illnesses, I guess? I thought that only Harley riders were like that.

If they prescribe you stimulants do not increase the dose. Less is more with ADHD

Hope everything gets a little bit easier for you and good to see you have a sense of humor about it.
On a side note, the stigma around mental illness is pretty disgusting. Too many people let their quality of life suffer because of the thought of being branded a certain way. Nice bike btw.

I know for a fact dirt bikers are the poster child for ADD and ADHD. Hope your insurance plan covers the meds well, the prices have been going up year after year. I was diagnoised 20 years ago and been on meds since. It’s just annoying that they can treat it, but not cure it. Concerta is the way to go, slow on, slow off, last all day.

Sweet bike!
And hope your appointment goes well and you are able to receive the kind of help you’re looking for. Sometimes it’s great to just have someone to talk to, a professional who actually knows whats going on. Glad you’re having a good sense of humor about it all.

Told my the rapist that I was not going to see him in the summer once my alternative the rapey was possible. Then I crashed it and spent most of the summer putting it back together. That is truly the rapeutic... and the not dying thing also put a lot of shit in perspective.
