yeah, i kind of scraped another car pulling into a parking spot this morning.
Nobody to blame but myself, i was sick and tired and just feeling it this morning and wasn’t paying attention.
Luckly for both parties i knew the person i hit since like elemcentry school and they were super chill about the entire thing and told me to not worry about it.
I still can’t belive it happend, like
i hit another car
its just insane to think about.

Or they were massively angry but you whispered that magic phrase into their ears.“Sorry I hit you, with my Jaggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg”.

Shit happens. What is important is that your were and upstanding guy and didn’t try and run or pretend it wasn’t you.
Toss some rubbing compound and a towel in your trunk. And next time you see that car in the parking lot buff the damage to get as much of the green paint & scraping off since they are being so cool about it.

Good thing you didn’t hit the greatest SUV in the world. It was only a Tribute.

Lesson: Get there as early as possible (like me!) to best avoid the presence of another car next to you.

Don’t let it get to you too bad. I’ve done that a couple of times my self. It’s more of a little reminder to focus more. Better then than something more serious

Same thing happened to me last year, also on a school lot, but in the teachers’ section. Got in the car, saw the empty egg carton on the passenger seat and thought about how well this worked as a mnemonic device to remind me to get eggs on the way home, and that I would still have to remember this when passing the farm where I wanted to get fresh eggs. While thinking about all this, my body automatically started the engine, and engaged reverse. The bump made me stop thinking about eggs. Just a fender bender but embarrassing nonetheless.

Oh, I seem to have forgotten my proof of insurance, you wouldn’t mind just sweeping all of this under the rug, would you old boy?

It’s ok buddy. I accidentally bumped in to my boss’s 85 C10 one saturday morning pulling into work. Fortunately that’s his beater so he didn’t even care. The one guy I work with cleaned up the wound (A smallish dent below his taillight) on his truck a bit. He took off the black bedliner from my bumper that was transferred to his truck, and sprayed his truck white. You would never know it was there anymore.
My truck however, still has the dent in the bumper and the white paint from my boss’s truck is still there. I haven’t bothered to respray the spot black.
His first question was whether I was drunk. I said no, I’m just not very awake apparently.
I still hear about it from time to time.
