!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . I sort of hope my local dealer doesn’t get one in. Because I know the salesman will give me a call to test drive it and I don’t think I would be able to say no to that. And if I test drive it I don’t think I’ll be able to keep from trading in my STi. And I really can’t justify buying a new fun car. But I don’t think I would be happy driving the STi knowing that I could be driving around the new hotness.

sti hold value very well. id be willing to wager it would cost less than 10k to get you into an RS which is a great move imo. with that said you cant just go buy this car. its very limited and mostly already sold out

Mine is an 07, so I doubt I’d get anywhere near $25k for it. Probably closer to the high teens. It is clean and unmodified which is good for resale, but in my area there aren’t a ton of people looking to dump $20k on an 8 year old car, even an STi.

I think you’re going to have a hard time getting a test drive in one of these. I would go as far to say if you see one on a dealer lot, there is a good chance that it is already sold.

They’ll make a ton for the next production run, though.

Don’t do that to me. I don’t really want more debt.

It will probably be a while before they get one that isn’t already sold. If they do get one that isn’t sold I can just about guarantee you the salesman will give me a call to come test drive it though.

Unless I lived near you, lol. I “was” in the hunt for an ‘07 that was unmolested and would pay the premium. But then again, I am in Colorado, “Tha Land of Subies.” There are thousands here and only a few worthy of my purchase.

I am torn as well. The Wife said she “likes” the new RS. That makes me happier than most would think as she hates/dislikes all of my cars - especially my Bugeye.

But, I am sad that this is coming as well. It will be a new performance benchmark in the genre. The RS will be the new kid to beat and I am hesitant to say that my beloved Subaru will not address this. I actually see no other manufacturer other than Subaru that will compete on this level - bye bye EVO.

What to do? Sell current Subaru and finance this monster (as most of us really don’t have $35k to hand over), or continue on my happy modding-path and then cringe when I see one? Heck, I wont even try and race one of these. Ok, I lied, of course I will try.

This RS is going to change a lot of things!
