I cannot keep a connection to the MP servers for some reason. My 360 works just fine. Xbone drops after 5 minutes. I’m wired to my router, and have open NAT settings. Router is an Asus RT-N12.

Xbones are more sensitive than 360s to iffy internets. Sometimes they think your NAT is tighter than it really is, and they can use other ports than a 360. Found that out with Destiny - I had no end of trouble before we upgraded, and routers seem to matter.

Can you plug your Xbox directly into the wall? If not, have you tried going here and port-forwarding your router? Our old Fourza racing league lobbies were a mess until people set up their routers. It didn’t entirely fix the problem but it was less of an issue.

Huh? I have the cat cable plugged into the router. I don’t have networks drops in my house, and the router is 10 feet across the room.

Are you suggesting I should not have the XBone plugged into a power strip? I fail to see how that would affect my network access.

Great. I get to call Crime Warner. I’d rather castrate a feral hog with salad tongs...

I mean like the cable/Ethernet jack thing, like the place you plug your router into?

Kinja'd!!!

If you plug your Ethernet cable from your Xbox directly into the jack you bypass your router and all the networking problems it creates. Regardless of how close you are to your router you still lose connection speed (for example I drop from 210 to about 30 being less than 10ft from the router).

House does not have network drops like that. Can’t bypass router because it is plugged into the modem. I have all my gear connected properly. I will try the port forwarding link.
