The 2016 Touring the dealer just got in is Deep Crystal Blue mica. Gorgeous color. And it has the sunroof package, which includes the Bose stereo (and the upgraded 2016 unit). The Touring trim has the 19-inch wheels, rear a/c vents, leatherette seats, blind spot monitor, automatic dual climate control, and a power driver’s seat.
The dealer doesn’t have any pics of it since it just came off the truck but we are going to test drive it tomorrow and see what they can do for us.

The 2015 has been taken in by the dealership and is now being used as a service loaner, so it isn’t for sale anymore. So, that’s out.
Here’s what Deep Crystal Blue looks like:
Looking at a monthly payment of ~$220.00. With our budget, we end each month with $1,100.00 extra. So, the payment should be comfortable for us to make.
We’ll see. I’m already freaking out, haha. I wish I was better with change. Even good change, my mind cripples me and the anxiety takes hold. Quickly. I’m trying to beat it, though.

Sweet whip.
For your anxiety, have you seen anyone about it?

As a Mazda salesperson I wholeheartedly endorse your purchase.

As a Mazda fan, WHEN THE HELL ARE YOU PEOPLE GIVING US THE MAZDASPEED 6 BACK!?

Yep. I’m seeing a licensed counselor. Just takes time. I don’t know why I freak out about change. Even if it’s good change. It just terrifies me!
I think it’s because even though I want a new 6 and I can afford one easily enough, the 3 has been a HUGE part of my life for six years now. That’s a lot. My wife was sitting in the passenger seat when I opened the door, knelt down, and proposed to her. We drove it away from our wedding. I moved with it three times. Took it to college. And so on. It’ll be hard to let it go. But, it’s rapidly decreasing in value as it ages. And, it needs a few things relatively soon. Nothing major. Just wear items.
I really want this 6. I do. I'm just afraid.

It’s a scary commitment taking on debt for 60 or 72 months, especially when I’ve never had a car payment on my own (had one on wifey’s car but that’s all). But it’s so pretty.
And the interest rates are crazy low. 0.9% for 63 months or 1.9% for 72.
I tend to keep cars a long time (as evidenced by how long I've had the 3), so depreciation isn't a concern.

Hold out for a platinum colored one! :) (Full disclosure - we are going to the car show tomorrow so I can sit my wife in one - “this is pretty nice, eh dear?”)

I wasn't around when the speed 6 was out, but pretty much no one bought the speed 6. So none for you!

Hey man, I totally understand (saw a social worker and was hospitalized over my mental health), and it’s good that you’re seeing someone. And that’s a lot of history with your old car.
Really, all I can say is enjoy your test drive tomorrow and see how you feel after it. Talk about it with your wife. Talk about it with your old car, if that helps. If you do decide to get the 6, is there any part of the 3 you can keep as a memory?

I personally wouldn’t go longer than 60-66 months if I could avoid it. I just like the idea of having manufacturers warranty while I’m making payments on it. That said don’t stress about going 72 months.
Lovely color, the deep crystal blue. Great if you like a black car but want something more dynamic. The color is properly dark in the shade, but when the sun comes out, it really dazzles!
I’d totally try and buy a 6i Touring 6mt if it wasn’t for the dog and my budget.
Also, check and see if in your region if you are eligible for the extra $250 owners loyalty. Usually it’s $500 but this month they’ve bumped it up to $750!
I know it will be tough to leave your 3 behind, but it’s presence will keep $750 extra in your pocket, plus you will be able to make new memories in your 6. Also with them extra space you can make more members of your family. Wink wink. Only joking.

Good luck! The 6 is a good lookin’ car!

Nice. I love my 3. If the 6 came in wagon form (I have many doge that need transporting) I would highly consider it as a next purchase.

Thats pretty! I’d go for it.

Yes yes yes. All the yes that is one of my favorite colors on the 6, the metallic flake looks great. Good luck I hope they work with with you on a good deal.

I have the exact same car except for the sunroof, same paint and everything and I love it. I have gotten so many compliments from the color and the body style and that’s deep in chevy country. buy it you will love it. It is alittle down on power but it doesn’t matter when you are carving up canyons in it.

“ Even if it’s good change. It just terrifies me!”
It’s because you’re out of your comfort zone. You like routine and predictability.
I’m a bit like that. Change unsettles me. Sometimes it saddens me.
Years ago, my company switched from an old on-site ERP to SAP. My site was the last site to have the old system. I worked on it for 5 years, knew it inside and out. When we put the old system out to pasture, I felt sad... a bit like losing a pet. I feel a bit like that too when I get rid of an old car. It takes me a week or two before the newer car feels comfortable/familiar.
Also, just because you have the money, doesn’t mean you need to get a new car. If you like the current one, why not keep it? The cost of wear and tear items will be way less in the long run than a car payment.
Then you could use the surplus cash to pay off your mortgage, top up your retirement savings, go on a really good vacation every year, buy a rental property, buy a classic car, build a BDSM dungeon, host swingers parties, have a regular supply of hookers/blow for you and the wife... you know, the usual things everyone would like...
(alright... I’m joking about the last 3 things)

I would absolutely recommend this car. I have the touring model and in the first two months of my ownership I have driven over 5k miles and I’m loving every miles. If I could I would get the sunroof because it would help brighten up the interior and that’s coming from someone who won’t actually open the sunroof up (just for light or maybe for ventilation but not sliding it back).
As for change I'm not usually one for change either. I strangely have a hard time of letting go of the lamp I've had my entire life. I have a new lamp in my room too but I still use the old one. Maybe it's slight hoarder mentality but I somehow feel if I get rid of it I might regret it.

I have its window sticker, and about 300 pictures haha. And an extra wheel. I was thinking of doing something creative with the wheel. Might make a garden hose holder for the house. :)

Honestly, taking on the car payment is a tiny financial hit for us. We are very blessed in that area. We just have to stick to our budget we developed so we can put adequate money in savings each month.

Interestingly enough, that’s one reason I’m upgrading cars. The 3 is just really small for a baby and all the stuff they tend to accumulate. Or the parents accumulate for them, rather. I have read several reviews on car seat installation in a 6 and it seems to be a breeze. The passenger seat only had to be moved up one notch to comfortably accommodate an infant seat.

I saw one of those in my local dealership! Where the hell is that color option for the Miata?!
