$3M in investments
Remaining $1.6M in normal Checking/savings. If the investments fall through, I still have that at least. I imagine myself pulling a DeMuro and just rolling through a bunch of (non-supercar) interesting vehicles to keep me entertained.

I’d spend less than $300k on cars and then blow the rest trying to make a race team. Sure, the money would be gone.. but racecars.

Zonda, 50ish foot boat and slip, and all the rental properties. With my $4 million I could buy 15 or so houses in the $300k range. Rent them out for 2 or 3 grand a month each. That translates into minimum $300 grand a year after expenses for the rest of my life.
![]() 10/09/2015 at 20:41 |

Exactly.
All the people I know who are rich were either born with it or both worked hard and had a little luck to get very well paying jobs, and then they lived like paupers for 20 years to save up that few mil to start banking on interest.
I’m busy being young(ish) and having fun, spending my money on motorcycles, cars, guns, and beer... going out with my friends, doing stupid shit, having adventures. I’d rather die broke and have a million stories, than have a million dollars and a wasted life. But that’s just me a I guess.

Let’s see, in no particular order:
* Buy land in somewhat out-of-the-way area nearby
* Build modest house on said land (2-3 bedroom, 2 bath, maybe 1400-2000 square feet. Woodshop in the basement)
* Hire someone to maintain that land, clean the house, etc
* Build
suitably
sized garage (10-12 car, heated, two lifts - a 2-post and 4-post, machine shop on one end, storage on the other, and that epoxy stuff on the [heated] floor)
* Cover my parent’s living expenses, within reason
* Buy a daily driver that isn’t literally falling apart
* Save the rest of it to have fun with when called for
* Confuse everyone as to why I haven’t quit my job
* Buy field and set up a rallycross course BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE IN THE TRISTATE AREA DOES IT

Planning longer-term, could buy up 20-25 year olds and be ready to sell them the day they turn 25. Keeps costs down from buying cars that need sat on for a decade, but still keeps you on the front line for fulfilling demand.

3.5 Million Investment. 500k separated into 100k CD’s in a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 year CD’s on rotation. Buy a 400k$ house, a brand new Viper + used RS7 + whatever the lady wants = 300k$. Pay off all my debt with another 30k$. Donate 100k to Big brothers Big Sistes. So far I’ve spend 4.83 million. The last 150K goes to two 15 day vacations and in my checking account for randomness.
