"wantafuncar" (wantafuncar)

Here she is - fresh from Florida. She is a 6mt TL with Brembos and navi. Built before they offered the Type S. ~50k miles. Grey leather interior. Those wheels were ordered with the car from Acura - I’ve only ever seen 2 or 3 other TLs with them. Garaged since new, 1 owner (a family member), washed & waxed regularly, factory/dealer maintained based on time (since relatively low miles).
Seller is going to take her in to get the passenger side window addressed and order those door caps that always fall off on 3g TLs.
I have not actually taken possession, but I am excited.
I’ve always thought these cars are sort of like the “Accord Si” with a respectably nice interior — enough sport to make them fun, but still practical and reliable.

Nice! Although I’d skip Navi unless the car is within 3 years old but that’s just me

i agree but it was a family owned car, so i didn’t pick the nav & i’ve not seen a cleaner TL of this gen for what i am paying.

3G was the best G of the TL.

Yeah the stock wheels and Type S wheels look much better, those look like Acura RL/CL Wheels. Still a great car though.

I think you’re right - he wanted the bluetooth and what not, so had to get navi

Not to mention the questionable aesthetics.
The 3G TL is like the E39 5-series. The gen that followed missed the memo on tight, deliberate bodywork and clean lines.

disagreed, the 4G is a much better car in every way, except for the exterior looks

Awesome car! I would look into RSX type-S (05-06) wheels for it. I’ve always thought an Acura sedan would look great with those wheels.

You bought from FL? Nice job man, you saved it before it received the stance treatment.

Fresh from Florida
Gonna have to check for crystal meth and bath salts. Also you have a choice to make; blacklight the interior and recoil at the horror, or don’t and remain in blissful ignorance?

I love this TL but why did Acura offer wheels from Volvo? That aside, nice choice and congrats.

Nice! Welcome to the club!
Be sure to visit the 3G forums on AcuraZine.com.
6MT, Navi and Bembros means its a Type-S. I suppose the PO didn’t like all the greyness. I like the Type-S waffle irons (they’re actually licensed Enkei Raidens) but I can see why some would think grey wheels on a grey car wouldn’t look good (I may get them for my pearl white base TL).
The only thing to be on top of with these cars is the timing belt/water pump job. The mileage at which you do this varies depending on climate.
What kind of tires did it come with?
And btw, these cars are much, much more than an Accord with better leather (esp with 6MT, Bembros and an LSD like yours).
Feel free to email me if you want to talk more, marshal dot dunnik at gmail dot com.

It may be different in the US, but Canada it was possible to get Hands Free Link without navi. Mine is so equipped.

They were special order for this car... came factory on 3g TL. Its a family car, and I’m the second owner. I was there when it was ordered. I have only seen these wheels on 2 other TLs, so I do not think it was an overly popular box to check.
