Very nice and not a postcard truck. And an 8’ bed. Most trucks (83% according to Ford), are crew cabs with maybe a 5’ bed or less. I watch people trying to load a 2 x 4 into them and they almost fall out.

I'd have to admit to not using my truck as a work truck, but I love it when I see old trucks still being used.

Second that. A wagon is, under most circumstances, more practical than my truck. You can get 10’ lumber in a wagon, to do that I’d have at least 4.5’ outside the bed.
You know what else? I don't care. It's a 4x4 sedan with gound clearance and a large, hose-out trunk to me. And while the wagon can accomodate longer loads, I can accomodate an bulkier load. Lets be honest, it's a play truck. It's for beach runs and occasional light offroading when I get there. It's for tailgate parties. It's a tent. The bed is merely a platform from which fun limited only by your imagination (and local laws) can start.

Nice truck! I have a ‘72 regular cab, long bed also. And I absolutely use it for truck things. That’s what it’s for!!
