I’ve always wondered how an A-10 would fair against WW2 fighter planes. I feel like it would do pretty good, mostly because they just wouldn’t be able to do enough damage to it. Compared to a P-51D, its slightly faster, can significantly out-climb it, has 4k ft higher service ceiling. I would assume the P-51D is more maneuverable, but the question would be is it by enough to overcome the A-10’s advantages.
