And the next FR-S/86 should be a little bit bigger, more powerful and wear a Toyota badge and the Celica nameplate.

Celica, yes, bigger, no, more powerful, yes. Subaru should build an SVX and Toyota should make a different Genesis/G37 sized coupe with a V6.

This is a Celica.
The next Celica (should they even make one) should have AWD and 300+ HP available. STi competitor.

1.5 =/= more power. Also if it wears the celica name plate then surely it’s not the next 86?

That’s the idea, Toyota is aiming for a 3 spots car lineup. With the yellow one, the 86 and the one it develops with BMW.

1.5L turbo with KERS? You have my attention.

Wasn’t that a special edition based on the rally car?
I think most Celicas were RWD, except for the awful, last one.

A 6 cylinder Toyota sports car is possible, but it could be an I instead of a V.

Both of those cars are absolutely hideous looking.

The last four generations were FWD, or AWD in the Alltrac variants.
85-89
89-93
94-99 This generation dropped the Alltrac name in place of the GT-Four name for the AWD turbo model, not sure if it was sold in the U.S.
99-2006 Sadly this one never had an AWD version
Personally I think an high performance AWD car from Toyota would be awesome, but I’d rather see a drivetrain like that stuffed into the Yaris, because rally, and hatchbacks go together like BP and J. Then again IF the Celica name came back I would like to to also be a liftback/hatchback.
